The Incubator – Part 3

Colossians 3: -3 ESV

(3)  For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

  • Your life is incubated in God. Your life is in the presence of the Lord.

  • How God related to the children of Israel is a good example to us of how God can be our Incubator.

  • Let’s take a lesson from Exodus.

Exodus 19:1-4 ESV

(4)  ‘You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself.

  • When a baby is born, sometimes he/she would be put in the incubator.

  • The incubator is the controlled environment that is suitable for the baby to grow and overcome the sickness like jointes that he/she might be having.

  • One of the method of incubation that we have seen is when a hen brood over her eggs. She would cover her eggs with her wings as she is on top of them. She would provide protection from elements and predators.

  • Incubation is a place of protection and safety.

  • God says to the children of Israel that he carried them on eagle’s wings.

  • God is bringing a sense of protection to His children.

  • Let’s follow how God protected them.
  • First, the Israelites were in Egypt. There was danger in Egypt. But He kept them from danger.

  • It is possible to see God’s protection in the mist of danger.

  • The children of Israel lived through all the plagues that befell Egypt.

  • The same distinction happened about their livestock.
